Alexanderfontein	Sauvignon Blanc	Rated a full four stars in both Platters and Wine Magazine, this is a serious SB with intense asparagus flavours rounded off with an undertones of passion fruit aroma. Delicately styled, it has a lingering aftertaste and pleasant finish. ****	Checkers, Makro and Ultra Liquors R29.99
Simonsig	Chenin Blanc	Although rated as three stars, this is surely the super-quaffer of the year! Startling aromas of Golden Delicious apples, ripe fresh Pears, and floral bouquet dominate the nose, followed by tastes of melon, guava and pineapple that hit you in the mouth! The aftertaste is driven by subtle honey and raisin flavours that make this wine smooth yet highly complex. ***	Ultra, P&P and Makro R26.99
Kanu	Rockwood Red (Red Blend)	This is a three-star rated wine that probably deserves four stars in the enjoyment category. It is pleasantly complex, showing dark chocolate and raspberries on the nose, complimented by a pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon explosion. The tannins are strangely soft and velvety, ending in a long fruit driven aftertaste. Drink now or certainly within the next year! ***	Makro and Ultra Liquors R32.99
KWV	Café Culture Pinotage	This is a huge wine, Dark, almost black in colour with Mocha Chocolate on the nose and mid-taste, with a distinct coffee aftertaste. This is a highly unique style of Pinotage was conjured up by wine maker Bertus Fourie, sadly as his swan-song before leaving the KWV earlier this year. This new style of Pinotage was originally made famous and comes from Diemersfontein and Guess what! Bertus Fourie also made the Diemersfontein wines before joining the KWV! SimonsVlei	Humbro Red Jeripigo	Three stars from Platter. This sticky-wine is for the sweet-tooth, dessert wine lover craving an after dinner sweet-treat at affordable price. Humbro Jeripigo is made from red grape-juice that is blended with first-fermentation grape alcohol so it has a kick of around 17% alc/vol. Raisins and fruitcake on the nose, sweet marmalade on the taste and it can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature. ***	Ultra, Makro and Picardi Rebel R22.99
Swartland	Winemakers Choice	Three stars from Platter. This wine is an interesting blend of Merlot and Shiraz, making it soft and well balanced with a predominance of the Merlot and is combined with the full-bodied peppery, smoky finish which is the typical character of Shiraz. This would be your pasta and braai wine of choice as it is medium bodied but fairly complex in mouth-feel, spiciness and dry finish. ***	Makro, Ultra, Checkers and P&P R29.99
